Cape Cod 13^th Annual 2009 Beach Clean-up—Place & Time / Attire / Lodging

Details for the 13^th Annual 2009 Cape Cod Beach Clean-up

DATE: Saturday, June 13, 2008 (NO Rain Date)

TIME: Gather at 9:00am for instructions

PLACE: Herring Cove Beach parking lot at end of Route 6 in Provincetown, MA

Look for the flags and banners of the organizations at the sign-in table in the parking lot.

Cape Cod National Seashore rangers will provide assignments, garbage bags and are prepared to meet any first aid needs.

ATTIRE:
Definitely not nude yet! A commemorative button will be issued to all registering volunteers. Tuck the following into a lightweight daypack for maximum safety and comfort—sun screen (a must!), personal water bottle (1 quart minimum) and heavy-duty gloves.

Be watchful and prepared for poison ivy.

CAMPING:
The following campgrounds and motel may offer reduced rates to card-carrying members of AANR and The Naturist Society. When making reservations, PLEASE state that you are VOLUNTEERS with the Cape Cod Beach Clean-up Coalition.

SANDY TERRACES, Post Office Box 98, Marston Mills, MA 02648 Phone 508-428-9209. AANR-East Nudist campground. Singles-friendly. 1.5 hours to beach. Friday night, June 13 - free, Saturday night, June 14 - $10 per couple or single. Sunday breakfast for nominal fee.

COASTAL ACRES CAMPING, West Vine Street, Provincetown, MA 02657 Phone 508-487-1700. Non-nudist campground. $10 per person when 2 to 4 people on site (subject to change). 10 minutes to beach. Walking distance to center of Provincetown activities.

SEASCAPE MOTOR INN, Route 6A, North Truro, MA 02652 Phone 508-487-1225. Approximately 15 minutes to Race Point Beach. Inn overlooks Bay, heated rooms, pool, prices vary by room. Early reservations get best results. 10 minutes by vehicle to Provincetown center.

PROVINCETOWN BED AND BREAKFASTS: Many have rooms available at off-season rates. Call the Chamber of Commerce for information.
