Profiles—James "Jimmy" Corsentino—September 2008

In the 1970s, friends from the Colorado Naturists invited Jimmy to a cook-out. The rest, as they say, is history. From that experience in nude recreation, he was hooked. Before long he found himself taking a leadership role as a member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Naturists. Since then, he has managed Clubs from Colorado to California and from California to Georgia.

Jimmy considers nude recreation as a way of life, not just a weekend activity. To him, it means being judged for the quality of one’s character, not the quality of their clothes. It means body acceptance and, according to Jimmy, “as I’ve aged I’ve found that to be more important to me”.

Jimmy’s vision for AANR-East is one of growth. “As I travel throughout our Region, members and Club owners often speak of the “graying of AANR” says Jimmy. “AANR-East needs to reach out to young adults and young families and draw them into our natural, relaxed lifestyle”. His vision also includes landed and non-landed Clubs working together to attract a broader membership base.

Jimmy was a founding member of the Rocky Mountain Bares, which was, at the time, the largest and fastest growing non-landed Club in its Region. Now retired, Jimmy is a member of Cedar Creek Park, in Pelion, SC and is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors for AANR-East, where he is actively involved with government affairs.
