Now imagine enjoying it NUDE! That's right, this year will be the 14th annual "Nudestock" at Cedar Creek Park in Pelion, SC. Nudestock was started by the previous owners and founders of Cedar Creek—John & Debbie Gillies. They were looking for a fun activity that wouldn't conflict with other nudist celebrations in the late summer and early fall. Nudestock is a music festival in a party atmosphere. There are many different kinds of music for everyone to enjoy. The bands are located in a pavilion near the center of the park with a concrete dance floor in front of it. Everyone brings chairs or sits on the grassy area surrounding the pavilion. Every year there are guests who have come regularly and new guests who are thrilled by the friendliness of everyone. "I come every year", says one reveler. "Som of the best music I have ever heard anywhere." It is always held on the last full weekend in September. This year, the dates are September 26th - 28th. As the years have passed, "Nudestock" has grown to the point of where there are usually around 400 members and guests attending. Admission price for the Friday - Sunday festival is $98/person until August 31st including camping and day fees. Beginning September 1st, admission price increases to $123/person. Current owners, John & Susan Shaw, have expanded the event by halving day fees and camping rates for participants for the week before and the week after the event! The first band starts on Thursday to get the party rolling. More and more people arrive even earlier on Wednesday and Thursday. "I come as early as I can, "don't want to miss a thing", one Georgia nudist commented. On Thursday evening, the Cedar Creek Social Committee will sponsor a Casino Night. The Social Committee is busy during the weekend with 50/50 raffles, the basket raffle (unbelievably good prizes) and with a store selling Cedar Creek merchandise. A D.J. was added for Sunday evening. Vendors of all types attend and sell their wares. Food is catered by Sweet Magnolia Catering. Cedar Creek Park members are committed to ensuring Nudestock is a success. They are willing to assist guests with any questions or concerns. The members ensure that the grounds and facilities are clean and that everyone is having a great time.
