Profiles—Mary Williamson—May 2008

Currently serving as AANR-East Secretary/Treasurer, Mary keeps everybody in line with her efficient management of Association resources. A bargain hunter par excellence, Mary is the only person who can go to an office store and return with a fax, a ream of paper, ink cartridges, and $50 in cash from rebates!

Also known admiringly as the "best dressed nudist," Mary is always noticeable for chic accessories. Without a stitch of clothing, she looks elegant in coordinated hat, sandals, and jewelry. Even the frames of her reading glasses match her accessories.

"Even a nudist can love to look nice," she laughs, "and accessories are definitely cheaper than clothing!"

Like many women, Mary discovered nude recreation when a man she was dating suggested they visit a nudist club. Nudism has opened up a whole new world for her, bringing her years of dedicated service to nude recreation (Eastern Sunbathing Association [ESA] Director, ESA Trustee, and AANR-East Secretary/Treasurer). It also introduced her to Bill Williamson, a dedicated nudist and official in many areas of AANR, and they were married at Serendipity Park in May 1999.

"I hope that someday nude recreation becomes a household phrase. I think that AANR is doing a great deal to help us reach the point where no one will be ashamed to admit that they enjoy being nude and that they regularly visit nudist clubs and resorts affiliated with AANR."
