Avalon Resort LLC is searching for an individual or couple to fill the position of RESORT GENERAL MANAGER (GM). Avalon is a casual, friendly, family-appropriate, clothing-optional resort and community near Paw Paw in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia.

The General Manager and staff are responsible for: administration and front office, capital projects, facilities and grounds maintenance, campground management, food and beverage services, housekeeping, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools and spas. Other responsibilities include oversight of day spa services, a retail gift shop, lodge room and condo rentals, plus program and recreational activities.

This is a working position with day-to-day operational responsibilities that include staff direction and oversight, guest-member relations, community PR, budget management, and purchasing. The GM must have the ability to delegate and follow up on critical operational tasks.

Candidates should have proven experience in the hospitality industry or experience managing and expanding a comparable business enterprise. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential! Knowledge and understanding of the naturist lifestyle is preferred.

You must be a dedicated, high-energy leader who can work collaboratively with Avalon staff, Avalon membership and the Board of Directors to provide a quality resort experience for guests and members.

Compensation may include housing, contributory medical plan and salary/ incentive based on improving guest occupancy, club membership and profitability. The GM position reports directly to the Avalon Resort LLC Board of Directors.
