News  from the President—Elections

Elections year is upon us once again! There will be 2 ballots arriving at our members' homes this year, one for AANR in the May Bulletin, the other for the AANR-East in the mail mid to late April.

The regional election will be for 4 director seats. This year we have 5 candidates, so please read their statements carefully and vote for the 4 individuals that you feel are most qualified to run your regional association.

Just as equally important are the AANR elections for President, Vice President, Secretary Treasurer and Member and Club Trustees. All of the candidate statements will be in the May Bulletin along with complete voting instructions.

I would like to point out that your own region has candidates in almost all of the AANR categories: President, Secretary Treasurer, Member Trustee and 2 in the Club Trustees category. Club Trustee Group 4 has an unopposed candidate that happens to be from the AANR-East but Group 6 & 7 have 3 individuals competing for 2 votes—only one is from the AANR-East.

I encourage you to vote for our own AANR-East candidates, but no matter whom you vote for, please remember that it is your right, privilege and duty to vote in both of these elections.
