News  from the President—New President's Introduction

A lot of you do not know me, so let me tell you a little bit about who I am and how my travels through life lead me to become President of AANR-East.

I grew up on a small farm outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Upon graduating from high school, I joined the Navy to see our big, wonderful world. After my Navy adventures, I returned home, married and had two children who are now grown. They have blessed me with four amazing grandchildren.

To support my family, I became a licensed electrician in Massachusetts and, at the same time, attended Boston University where I received my Associate and Bachelor degrees in Business. I worked for several companies near the Boston area in upper management. I retired from the business world in 2007 to spend more time on the operation of Juniper Woods Clothing Optional Nudist Recreational Park & Campground, an AANR 100% Club in Catskill, New York.

Growing up on the farm, I was a nudist without really knowing anything about nude recreation. I joined AANR in 1991. Wanting to be more active, I ran and was elected as a Director on the ESA Board in 1999. I continued in this position until 2005 when I was elected as Vice President of AANR-East. This past summer I ran successfully for the office of President. During my years of association with both ESA and AANR-East, I have served on many committees. They are too many to name here, but they had given me a good understanding of what this Association is and what is needed in order for us to thrive.

I will write from time to time on subjects that I think will interest all nudists. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or comments you may have. If need be, I will research the answer for you and respond as promptly as I can.
