February 9, 2009—Your Association at WorkNews from the President—Your Association at Work
Jasmine Trail Nudist Resort & Camp Ground was an outstanding host, and we all left there at least five pounds heavier than we arrived from the delicious and generous meals. The women also left starry-eyed from a lei and attentions from Elvis! Be sure to read Steven Stoller’s report on the event for more details on both work and social activities. When I took office three-and-a-half years ago, I set a number of goals for myself as your President. One of them, and perhaps the most difficult, has been to try and run a volunteer Association as a business-centric one. This is understandable, because “life happens” and people must focus on careers, family, and health issues. Nevertheless, with the implementation of technologies to assist our officials and volunteers and the recruitment of talented professional individuals to carry forth the projects, we are making progress. We have an outstanding Board of Directors, all of whom responded to the call and have taken on specific projects to benefit you. I urge you to read their specific reports. We are presently soliciting candidates who wish to run for the office of Director. If you are interested in learning more, please contact our Elections Chair, Fred Van Nest. You can see from the reports that not all the work is accomplished by the Directors and Officers; we are fortunate to have over a dozen committed volunteers who serve in non-elective positions and make an enormous contribution. Would you like to join this group and know the satisfaction of working for nude recreation? Check out the Become A Volunteer link on this website and learn more about your Association. Susan A.
